This course is helpful for church and community volunteers that are serving kids from foster care and adoption histories. Learn some basics of how attachment, loss, and trauma can affect kids in foster care and ways you can be helpful in your interactions.
Who is America's Kids Belong?
Our goal is to change who waits in foster care. Thousands of children and teens in foster care are waiting for families to belong to, either temporarily or permanently. We want to flip the story around and see grown ups be the ones waiting to receive a hurting child into their healing home. One way we do this is by empowering leaders in business, faith, government and the creative spheres to understand foster care and work together towards solutions.
